I bank at Chase - which allows me to download statements and transactions in QFX file format. This format is also supported by Discover. But what works even better is associating the QFX file extension with the money import executable so I can simply click "Open File" from my Edge Browser download notification window. Problem was, though, that when I tried to associate that program with the QFX file extension, Windows wouldn't let me.

When you save to your computer assuming you are using Windows there should be an option to save file as. There should be a drop down that allows you to pick all file extensions. At the end of the day it is just a text file that you should be able to open in notepad to review.
The caveat is you may need to change some of the tags in the text file. That's only if you want that data to come through in the Quickbooks memo field. Since you have 15 months to go through this may take some time. There doesn't seem to be an option to change the extension in either computer.
